FLYYE FAPC

Design and Quality

The Flyye vest is built with quality replica gear in mind. It is made from 1000D Cordura, which is known to be quality fabric, which is also used in real vests used by the military. Those familiar with the brand Pantac, will be quite satisfied in the gear put forth by Flyye. All of the gear they make is quite rigid, and built to last for a while. Every gear they make is made from 1000D Cordura, unless otherwise stated. (Such as the PACA) It is a direct copy of the DBT Gen 1 FAPC.

FLYYE
DBT vs. Flyye FAPC

The Flyye variant of the FAPC looks exactly the same, because it is a replica. There is however one small difference on the Flyye, that is better for some people. On the real FAPC by DBT there are 7 molle loops going horizontally, while in the Flyye there are 8. By having an even number of loops it makes pouches more symmetrical and neat looking. Another thing that is a flaw on both of them is how the buckle is positioned. From the pictures you will be able to tell that they are more toward the back of the vest, which makes buckling it up a bit harder, and inconvenient.

Performance

I have only had a chance to field this vest once, but it was exceptional. It has the same feel as the DBT. For an airsofter it will be quite up to the task of skirmishes, and will last quite a bit. It is light weight, small, and fits quite nicely. I do not really see any downsides of this vest in the mindset of someone who plans to use it for airsoft, as that is what it is built for. It can be worn all day, with no strain on the user.

The plates that Flyye provides with this piece of gear are pure genius, and something other company’s should do as well. What they did was take a piece of thick (and relatively hard) foam and bent it to replicate the shape of a SAPI plate, and then made the appropriate cuts and angle to give it the same feel. What this does is make the plates very light, and puts lens strain on the end user.

Other Thoughts….

While it is hard to compare a replica piece to the real deal, I feel that the Flyye version will be all that an airsofter would need, and more. I also realize that people are not quite familiar with the brand, but let me reassure you that if you like Pantac, then you will MOST surely love Flyye!
