Sometime in the near future, America will go to war.  It's not important who we are fighting, or even why, as in the end it will not matter.  The United States of America will come under nuclear attack, it will wipe out any official government in place, take down the national power grid, and reduce man to it's most primal instinct, the need to survive.   It will be survival of the fittest in America's new world.  This will be the first of this type of event, this game will lay the groundwork for the next in a series.

A 30 hour Vietnam Experience

MACV-SOG
(Military Assistance Command, Vietnam - Studies and Observations Group)
Active from the 24th of January 1964 until the 1st of May 1972, MACV-SOG was a joint unconventional warfare task force made up of men from all branches of the armed forces.  The unit consisted primarily of personal from Special Forces, SEALs, Air Force, CIA, and USMC force recon.  SOG was developed as a highly classified "black ops" team that specialized in unconventional warfare.  Their main purpose was to perform reconnaissance missions in both North and South Vietnam, as well as Laos and Cambodia.  They also specialized in the capture of enemy prisoners, recuse of downed American pilots, recovery of American POW's throughout Southeast Asia and conducted clandestine agent team activities and PYSOPS against their enemies.  MACV-SOG participated in some of the most prolific campaigns of the Vietnam War.  Prior to America's introduction into the war, SOG teams were involved with the Gulf of Tonkin incident.  Other major campaigns included; OP Steel Tiger, OP Tiger Hound, TET Offensive, the Cambodian Campaign, and the Easter Offensive.  Often SOG teams would "Jump the Fence" and head up undocumented "black op" missions against NVA/VC troops operating in the neighboring countries of Laos and Cambodia.  SOG teams were given the best and newest equipment, often acting as guinea pigs for new weapons, gear, and gadjets.  Often times, SOG teams would suffer 100% causalities - either MIA or KIA - and it was the standing orders of the USAF to send B-52's in to whereever SOG team member(s) last known location to "purify" the ground as to not let the SOG members - their equipment and Intel - fall into enemy hands.  With America not officially at war with either Laos or Cambodia, they could not afford to let proof left behind of SOG involvement.  Only recently have some MACV-SOG operations been declassified, prior to this, America would not even admit the existence of such a group's activites.
